IN CYSTIC FIBROSIS

08/15, 09/12 & 10/10, 2022
This 3-part series will provide clinical and research updates on sexual and reproductive health concerns for all people with CF, with special focus on pregnancy, family-building, and parenthood. 

We are fortunate to have Traci M. Kazmerski, MD, MS, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Antonio J. and Janet Palumbo Cystic Fibrosis Center (CF Center).  Dr. Kazmerski stays at the forefront of these important topics.  She will have special guests joining her as she details her experience as well as her research. We highly recommend this three-webinar series for anyone in the CF community.
 
Monday, August 15:  6:00 – 7:30 PM EST. Reproductive Health with Adults Assigned Female at Birth with CF. This talk will focus on the sexual and reproductive health concerns and care needs of females with cystic fibrosis (CF), including fertility, pregnancy, and contraception.
 
Monday, September 12: 6:00 – 7:30 PM EST. Reproductive Health with Adult Assigned Male at Birth, with CF. This talk will focus on the sexual and reproductive health concerns and care needs of males with cystic fibrosis (CF), including fertility, low testosterone, and assisted reproductive technology.
 
Monday, October 10: 6:00 – 7:30 PM EST. Parenthood and CF.
This talk will focus on being a parent with cystic fibrosis (CF), including options for family-building and navigating parenting with a chronic health condition.
 

 
About Traci Kazmerski, MD., MS.
Traci M. Kazmerski, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics and Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine. She is a pediatric pulmonologist and health services researcher at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Her research centers on the improvement of comprehensive health care for adolescents and young adults with pediatric-onset chronic disease. As a core member of the CFF TDN Women’s Health Research Working Group, her current projects focus on improving the sexual and reproductive health care of people with cystic fibrosis.
